Dr. Gilu George completed her MBBS from Government Medical College, Calicut, and went on to pursue her MS in Ophthalmology from Government Medical College, Kottayam.

She holds a fellowship in the anterior segment with a special focus on cataract surgery, which she obtained from Giridhar Eye Institute, Kadavanthra. Her expertise includes various cataract surgery techniques, such as Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS), phacoemulsification, and femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery.

Dr. Gilu has been practicing at the Mattanchery branch of Giridhar Eye Institute for the past 8 years. She is skilled in cataract surgery and has training in the medical management of glaucoma and other general ophthalmology areas. Additionally, she provides surgical training for DNB students, sharing her expertise with the next generation of ophthalmologists.
