Length of the Program: 1 Year
Structure: The fellowship spans 12 months, divided into two main phases:
First 6 Months: Training in general ophthalmology, providing a comprehensive understanding of eye care and the interrelationship between optometry and ophthalmology.
Second 6 Months: Rotational postings in various optometry departments, allowing fellows to gain specialized experience in different aspects of optometric practice.

Training: The course offers a structured 12-month training program that includes:
General Ophthalmology: 6 months of foundational training to understand the broader aspects of eye care.
Optometry Department Rotations: 6 months of focused rotations through different optometry clinics, ensuring a well-rounded experience in various subspecialties.
Skill Development: Fellows will learn to perform essential optometric procedures, including retinoscopy, refraction, slit lamp biomicroscopy, tonometry, and funduscopy, all crucial for a primary eye care professional.

Retinoscopy & Refraction: Accurate measurement of refractive errors.
Slit Lamp Biomicroscopy: Detailed examination of the anterior segment of the eye.
Tonometry: Measurement of intraocular pressure, crucial for glaucoma detection.
Funduscopy: Examination of the retina, optic disc, and other internal eye structures.
