Training programs
The training opportunities at Giridhar Eye Institute are divided into Fellowships and Observerships. Fellowships involve direct clinical responsibility for patient care, both as outpatients and during surgery under supervision. Observers have no clinical responsibility and can only watch consultations without direct involvement in surgeries. GEI offers long-term fellowships lasting 12 to 24 months and short-term fellowships of 2 months. Observerships are one month long. Long-term programs are for young doctors seeking extensive practical training, while short-term programs are for practicing ophthalmologists wanting specialized experience in specific procedures.
